Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – February 21, 2010 – Malaysian MSC [Multimedia Supercorridor) status security solutions firm TecForte has been announced the winner of a  2010 Red Herring 100 Global Award, which recognises startups from North America, Europe and Asia for their innovations and technologies.

During the award ceremony held recently in Los Angeles, media firm Red Herring’s Chairman Alex Vieux said: “Choosing the best out of the previous three years was by no means a small feat. After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed down our list from 1,200 potential companies to 200 finalists. Trying to get it down to 100 companies was a task upon itself. TecForte should be extremely proud of its achievement, the competition was difficult.”

TecForte CEO Kho Han Yao said the company’s flagship product–Log Radar–enabled real-time tracking, identification and response to threat. "[It] also helps gathering legal evidence for forensic investigation and court prosecution. The system assists its users in complying with security standards such as ISMS-ISO27001, MAMPU’s [Malaysia Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit] guidelines, and Thailand Crime Act."

"Our customers include those in Asia's financial and telecoms sectors," said Kho. "Government customers include Malaysia Customs, Immigration & Quarantine Complex, Malaysia Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Malaysia Department of Fisheries, and the Central Bank of Thailand."

“We went through a stringent selection process and was nominated over other global brands for our innovation in simplifying Security Management for Government and enterprise networks," he added.
